Yes THAT Anthony Bourdain. American Chef, author, and host of the Travel Channel’s TV show called Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations to name a few. He attended the Culinary Institute of America and graduated in 1978. He’s worked professionally as a chef at many restaurants including Brasserie Le Halles French bistro steakhouse located in New York which you should definitely stop by and visit, if you ever get the chance. This you will not regret and you will thank me and Anthony Bourdain for it later. These are just a very few of the things that Anthony Bourdain is known for. His list of accomplishments is very long.
One of the great things about the Culinary Institute of America is the caliber of chefs that t he school has produced. You don’t have to dig too deep or for too long to find famous chefs that came from the school.
Cat Cora, another name you might know. She was pretty well known for her role as an Iron Chef in Food Network’s Iron Chef America. She was also on the Bravo Channel as co-host of the show Around the World in 80 Plates. That’s just the short list. At the time of this writing, her appearance on TV shows might be somewhere around 18 different TV shows.
Rocco Dispirito was also a graduate of the CIA. He graduated in 1986. You might remember him from shows like The Restaurant on NBC, and Top chef on Bravo. He’s mostly knows for his innovative fusion cooking style and Italian-American cuisine. He’s also written quite a few book and won plenty of awards.
These are just a few of the many celebrity chefs that I want to show you that came from the Culinary Institute of America. The list really is pretty long. I do look forward to sharing more of the talented chefs that cam from the CIA in the future. Stay tuned!
